I've spent the last 16 years building six-figure online businesses. I was a virtual assistant (before most people knew what that meant). A graphic designer (and the go-to marketer for real estate agents). I built a template shop. Online courses. A membership.

But (and here's the kicker): I built most of them for the wrong reasons.

I chased opportunities because they were there, not because they lit me up. I worked seven days a week because I thought that's what success looked like. I said yes to things I didn't want because I was scared to say no.

And it worked — until it didn't.

My breaking point came when I worked eight months straight without a single day off (yes, including weekends). I ended up curled up in a ball on my bathroom floor, sobbing, so emotionally and physically exhausted I couldn't even bring myself to get up.

That's when I realized: I hadn't built success. I had built businesses that made money sure, but kept me securely glued to my computer screen day after day.

So I made a promise to myself that things would change. I began experimenting with working less, taking more days off, and saying yes to a five-day cottage retreat where I earned more doing nothing than I had in the entire month.

Now I work way less than I ever have, building a business I love. And I'm teaching other creative solopreneurs how to do the same.

If you're tired of being told you have to hustle just to survive — you're allowed to do this differently.
